Oh, and anybody not familiar with Howie Weinberg's work - you are! - dude is fricken amazing, and has a shitload of great albums to his credit. Everybody has heard his work. Everybody!!!!

Tom V. at Mastering House currently has my collection of songs. I asked that his 2nd engineer do the work to save some bucks. They quoted me a GREAT price and so far the samples they sent back have been awesome. My tunes are not like yours, but I suggest you talk with them also.

Word of mouth is great advertising and I want to help them out as best i can.... :)

Peace,

Thanks Chili!

BTW wasn't Huey Lewis a Black Panther activist in the 60's?

But I'm not sure who to go with, or how much I've got to spend to get a decent job done! I'd like to find someone who really enjoys the music, and is willing to work with us to really put the finishing touches on this CD, vs. someone looking to make a quick buck with some L3 presets or something. I know it's a long-shot to find someone who'd be really into the music itself, but I figure it's worth a shot!

I've got samples of the really quickly smashed/slightly EQ'd versions of a couple of songs on our myspace (myspace.com/everestband), but these are obviously way smashed, and way destroyed by the myspace "loving care" process. I'm just posting them so y'all can get an idea of the music style (metal). If it sounds like something you might be potentially interested in, let me know!

Contact me I will do it check out my samples at www.sterlingsoundstudios.com Rob

Hey Steve, if there's no rush I've got 15 students that might like to take a shot at mastering a track. Heck if it's an assignment they will have to :)

Might be interesting for the critical listening thread too. You get to grade 'em :D

Of course these aren't pros so your results may vary.
