Wow that's a really good recording. Not my style musically, but it's performed and mixed very well. No nits from me. Good job. :)

DAMN! Mix sounds really good - good job! The only nitpick I would say is that with that particular singer's (VERY nice) voice (is that you?) in this mix, I want to hear a very tiny tad bit more bottom end - probably just a couple db, maybe even just a single db, wide q bump around 200 would really put that low end awesomeness on the voice - and I think there's room for that sound in this mix, becuase nothing else is really filling up that area. Also, there's just a few parts where I think I hear some sibilance reacting with a reverb in a noticeable way.

Toms sound a bit too weak for the song, too - they sound more like an afterthought than a part of the whole production - but that's just my taste, really - there's nothing 'wrong' with the way you did it, in my opinion (and if I thought there was I would definitely tell you, ;) ) I was going to say something about the kick drum, but really the way you gave the bass the majority of the low end instead of the kick really works well for this song - so good job on that too, heh.

P.S. The harmonies/lead delay at 2:xx is very well executed, and sounds fantastic!

P.S. #2 - I just moved and I'm still getting used to my new mix-room, there's all kinds of weird reflections and out-of-phase stuff happening in here (hard-wood floors, high ceilings, and nothing in here but my control-room stuff) so take everything I say with a grain of salt - if other's say I'm way off...they're probably right :p

I do agree with this. I noticed that too, but it didn't bug me enough to mention it. That's something you can easily fix if you want to.

Hehe.. I actually changed my mind about how much it bothered me and edited it while you were quoting me - that's why my post says 'noticeable' whereas it originally said 'unpleasant'.

I wish I knew what sibilance meant.

hahahahahaha.... Sssssssibilancccccce is the high-pitched ssssssoundsss that are mostly heard with the Ssss and Ffffff sounds, heh. It's not a big problem at all in your mix, it's just noticeable how it reacts with the reverb. If ever there was a true 'nitpick' it is this point of sibilance/reverb in this mix.

Hmmm... Something's wonky with your link. It's forwarding me to your main soundclick page, not the song itself (and I can't find the song from there.)

I'm sorry about that. I deleted the song off of soundclick because I became paranoid that it could get stolen. (not by anybody here)
