The song, Complicated...

Could be a good jam if the bass, drumset and guitar were more consistently rhythmically tight and the guitarist wasn't overextending their soloing abilities.

The lofi thing is not a problem at all. The vocal sounds kind of cool... I almost expect you to yell, "I've got blisters on my fingers" at the end. The guitar is played really sloppily at times, such as at 2:30, as if the guitarist is just learning how to play those licks. A guitar solo can sometimes sound great played sloppy if it's expressive, but this soloing isn't.

Thanks. I agree the guitarist wanks and sometimes it misses. But damn when he hits it, it's like nothing else.
He hates this version of the song because of the solo. Nobody else in the band got that. Funny. I like the solo because I think it hits that uncertainty of the situation in the lyrics. Plus we were making it up on the spot.
