Let me know. As of right now, this mix is really bassy in the kick drum, causing very unnecessary mud. besides that and the lack of vocals.... and rough cuts (only rough mix)...any suggestions??

I don't think the mix is "bassy" but I do think that the bass guitar lacks fundimental. If you trim the "honk" probably around 700hz you may be able to gain it up a little and pick up some fundimental lows if they are there.

You may have some monitor issues. I use a pair of Sennheiser 280's as a double check for bass balance because they have pretty deep extension.

The kick drum works for me but the rest of the kit is buried. I suspect that this was mixed by the guitar player, ha ha.

You guys are definately kicking some ass with this tune!!

You spoke of mud. Here's my take: Go after the palm muting more than you think you need when the guitars and the kicks are together in hyperspeed mode. Try to create some air in between the notes............exaggerate, and I think you will clear the mud a little bit.

That's about all the brutality that I have for you. I guess I could have said it sound's like my grandma's band and shes dead, but that wouldn't really be brutal either.
