Going to be a challenge

My studio (basement) flooded out. It wasn't a very good place to record anyhow, it was too long, not treated, really bad acoustics, yada, yada, yada. But I made due with the couple tracks I actually got to do down there. But now it's no more. The water table rose on our property over the rainy season, and it doesn't look like it's going to recede any time soon.

So now I am taking over a storage shed. I have to get the exact measurements, but it's not very big; maybe 8X10? I am probably over stating it.

It's all concrete, and not filled either. And there is a window for ventilation that doesn't seal. I can hear the neighbor's mutt barking even with it closed. I am going to hang an old futon over it and see what happens.

Over the course of the next couple days (I don't have a lot of time to get this going, I go back to sea on the 27th of this month) I will be asking a few dumb questions. I hope I can count on your patience as I get this going.

One thing I should probably mention: I am not overly concerned with noise getting out, more with unwanted crap getting in and on my recordings. I am in the Philippines, so a lot of traditional methods to achieve this won't be accessible to me.
