Any body have experience with modular synthesizers from synthesizers.com?

I'm think hard about starting with their 22 space entry system.

Not a clue, but a friend and I just wasted half an hour of our lives looking round that website:o

Andrew.

I work with a guy that is friends with the owner of that company... he's told me good things about them, but other than that, I don't know.

Glad I can be of help! I can't do anything right now, but I'm definitely throwing around the idea of getting my hands on one sometime down the road. Be sure to let us know how it works for you if you get it! :)

that place looks outrageous... anybody know what designs they use??? moog? arp? buchlea?

The "dotcoms" are pretty much Moog knockoffs.

I've wanted to put together a sequencer setup from them but $1800 is a bit steep.

I went with a Frostwave off ebay instead for now.;)

My perspective, I got to play with a very large system a few years ago for an extensive period (several months). A few things that bothered me about their system is they make the most generic modules of all the modular synth companies making systems today. Nothing wrong with that but in this day and age its nice to have all the options others are offering. No dedicated LFO module, you have to use a VCO which takes up a lot of space, plus for me the VCO didn't go slow enough in LFO range. In the end I went euro-rack but if you like the size and can live with the limitations of their system then go for it. Oh wait you already did. :D

0.05 Hz ?

Thanks for your thoughts. Ya, burning a VCO for a LFO did strike me as interesting. The lowest rate claimed is 0.05 Hz for the VCO. Not sure that I need slower....

I had thought that I would build any "other" modules that I need. This instrument is a learning tool for me mostly and later a production tool.
