Totally different take on GoldenApples
okay, so i went to try to put some drums on Golden Apples, and I just wasn't feeling the the vibe. I felt like it needed an earthier, more acoustic backing. So I whipped out the Djembe and Shaker and went to town. There's some timing flubs, but just wanted to get it down to see if you like it.
Here's what I did:
If you like it, let me know and I'll re-track it better: fix the timing flubs, spend some time getting better mic positions, use a real shaker rather than the thin sounding Remo eggs that were used
If you think it's stupid that totally cool, i really enjoyed playing along

I had a chance to listen to the songs tonight. I took one and dropped a quick drum part on it. These are acoustic drums mixed onto the mp3 dry. Just seeing if this is in the ballpark of what your looking for.

Ok, I got kinda' overwhelmed by offers and tracks. I've been sorting them out, and I wanted to post something. I got drums on "Golden Apples" from a friend from Madrid Spain. Nothing flashy, but it hit me as perfect.
Once I got the drum tracks, none of the offered bass tracks worked out, so I just went ahead and tracked one myself.
Guys, it's always awkward when I ask for tracks and people are cool enough to offer them - I can't use everything, and sometimes feelings get hurt. I hope that's not the case, because all we're doing is trying to make music. But I mean it when I say that I VERY SINCERELY appreciate all offers. Some of it gets used, some of it gets saved, some of it gets immediately deleted.
Are we getting there?

Oh God no, LMAO. But I don't think it's gonna' work for me to just post songs and ask for tracks. Pisses too many people off, and then sorta' hurts feelings. So here's what I'm gonna' do. I'm "releasing" a CD without drums. Over the next 2 weeks, I'm going to try to get 2 drummers that I know to do the tracks that they want to do. Hopefully, that'll cover most of it. If I have a couple of tracks left that still need drums, I'll ask people who were nice enough to post in this thread if they want any of them and I'll try to finish it off that way.
I just can't continue to be a selfish prick and expect NOT to be shot at some point.
