WTB: Audix D6

"Hi, I'm in Delaware."
On the off chance that someone, for some reason, wants to get rid of a D6, let me know. I absolutely love this mic on the kick drum, but don't want to pay $200 for it. I'd offer to trade, too, but I don't think I have much in that department other than an Aardvark Q10 and some old computer parts.
 
Actually, I'm bidding on one that's a little cheaper right now. Hopefully it will stay that way :)

I really like that mic - it's a no brainer on kick.....

....shove it in the kick drum, and that is it.


I was buying the D 112 but somebody at GC talked me out of it - and said, buy the Audix D6, you'll do far less screwing around with the recorded signal.

I paid about $210 + tax.

I used to think that. And then I remembered that it's still going to bid up to my highest anyway, so as long as I put down the highest I'm willing to go, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I suppose there are still the people that just put up throwaway bids, but they'd get outbid by someone else by the end anyway.

you are right. a lot of people do the throw away bid to see if they can get away with it. all it does is raise the price. pretty much no matter what there will be sniping if it's a somewhat desireable item. i've just found that for me it's best to bid at the end if i really want an item, if i'm not too worried about it then i'll bit max and hope for the best but that rarely works out for me lately.
 
Alright, cool, got one for like $135 after shipping. Not too bad. Anyway, I know longer need one, just so everyone knows :)
