My Barry Manilow cover with real drums...

Really cool. A couple of things. I think the solo guitar in the beginning is too loud. The guitars also sounds like it have some kind of chorus. I cant put my finger on, but is a little distracting. Other than that, a really great interpretation. Kudos!
 
+1 on the opening guitar solo being a bit too loud. Love all the guitar performances. Sounds great. The vocal performance is just enough anti-manilow that it works.

Man, I agree about that solo during the intro..I cut it out of my new mix/ version...I also redid all the rthym and bass guitar tracks without any chorus or delay...I think they are a little punchier now...thanks for listening!

Thanks Ray...I just had to redo my guitars to try and match the energy of the drums :p...I hope I improved it...

Queepy, levels are better now. This listen through it sounds like you could bring up the vocals just a half titch.

I agree, I raised the vox just a bit...link in thread plays latest version...thanks for the feedback!
 
I'm glad you revisited this one. The drums are cool and do help drive it along.

I did finally check out the original briefly on youtube, but couldn't make it past the first chorus...ewwww.

This would be a great soundtrack to a scene in a movie where someone is beating the crap out of barry manilow.

Excellent comment heatmiser....

The vocals could come up a hair IMHO. The rest of the mix is perfect. Love the tone on the guitars and the punch on the drums... This song makes me smile! :D
