piano .. synthesizer .. what am i looking for?

ok so basically this is what i need:

a piano or device that lets me use sounds ive created on my computer. i want to transfer violin loops and sounds to each key so i can play them live on my shows. i dont know anything about this except for describing what i want.

sampler... piano... synthesizer ?!!? :confused:

so once again i want a device that i can put my own quality sounds and loops in, and then play it on the piano. i want a good one but that doesnt exceed 500 dollars.. whether its a piano sampler or whatever just recommend me something that will fit my needs! thanks!!
 
ohh and i would like one with the feature that i can eave one key pressed so it loops by itself through the entire song. i would like one where i can play something while a sound is looping.

Well maybe a tape recorder is a bit old fashioned. A Minidisc player might be somewhat cooler.
Heck back in the day I played for a band that ran their backing tracks off a cassette tape. Doesn't need to be fancy...

I suppose I am too old for this playground though :p

Beyond the humor though is the rather disturbing reminder of how increasingly childish and socially inept people are getting everywhere you look these days. I'll cite this incident next time I get out my soapbox for a rant on modern attitudes and our dysfunctional society. :D

That's the REAL irony here. I use a setup exactly like what he needs and was prepared to give him all the details if he'd had a sense of humor.
If he wasn't so lazy he could have went and looked at all my other posts and seen just how extremely helpful I am around here but no, the path of least resistance was to be rude and obtuse.

So hey, figure it out for yourself.

And since no apology has appeared yet I have reported him to the moderator.

I actually am interested in how to make that kind of setup. If I promise not to swear at you (much :D), will you post the aforementioned details?
