When I go to double up my verses my lyrics don't match up how do I get them to match up?

I'm using cool edit pro 2.0

theres no way to move the vocals around so that they even up

Everyone's looking for a quick fix, nobody wants to put any work into something they SUPPOSEDLY love. Fucking sad. :(

Anyway, to answer your question, unless the whole track is off by exactly the same amount all the way through, that probably won't help.

I'm telling you...It sounds like I'm trying to be sarcastic. But seriously....PRACTICE!!!!

unless your talking about (example) you record track 1 [vocal] but when you record track 2 [double] its off beat and you feel you are doubling on que perfectly....well in cool edit you can do 1 of 3 things....go into setting and find the drift for recordings and check that box and try it....if it dont work uncheck it and right underneith there is a option for syncing recording....check and try.....if it dont work try 3 check both and see how it works.......if none them work then maybe you really do need to practice =\

sorry for the many typos...i been awake for about 23 hours now

i thought there was a way to move it around i do put in the work alot of my time is spent on this shit man

If you double-click where it says "Peter Quistgard" at the top of the session... then that will activate an "auto sync" feature, that should sync your vocals for you automatically so they match up.

If that doesn't work, then come back and let us know, so we can walk you through it.

:D

You can manually chop them up and move them around. It's a LOT of work to do a full track, and often ends up sounding unnatural. I do this all the time for a word or two, but never a whole track.

Frankly, RAMI is right. If you have no sense of timing, it's gonna be a battle. Really listen to the music and try and be with the music - it will make your tracks sound WAY better in the long run.

melodyne. i know. cheating. whatever.

To create fake harmonies or to time align the tracks? I've never used Melodyne.

Cheating is fine, but not everything can be fixed that way.......

He's talking about syncing up RYTHMICALLY. Melodyne doesn't do that, as far as I know.

You know, now that I read the original post again, he says his lyrics don't match up?!?!?!?!?

Maybe he needs to sing the right lyrics? Not much you can do about wrong lyrics.

Maybe he means he's singing a round and one of the little bastards on the other side of the fire is singing it wrong (or not sync'd up)...

no what i mean is when i record my main vocals its fine when i go to double up the lines in the second recording track my double up lyrics dont match the main vocals

Just sing the right lyrics and you should be good to go.
