Hmmm, not too good man. I guess it's different. The sound quality is pretty bad - even by myspace standards. What kind of mixes do you want to make?

Hey all check out my bands songs that we just recorded. Trying to get the sound out there so tell me what you think.

Hey man, I actually liked your song 'Relief' . That one sound pretty decent. Still trying to figure out why your drummer has to play the fills so damn often, but suppose that 'fits' with your vocals :D

Heavy guitar sounds too far behind, and too generic, otherwise - different but still cool.

Listen to a CD from you favorite band and try to get that sound. Then do lots of reading on here or other recording forums and learn how to achieve that sound.

This isn't bad, but there is lots room for improvement...

Yeah, "Relief" was the only one I was able to listen to longer than a verse. But, even that one.....The drums are busy, man. And the drummer has timing issues. The rap/talking vocals are hard to make out. The ideas are pretty good, but you got to learn alot more about recording. Don't worry, we all have a lot to learn about mixing.

The music is different...kind of sounds like the chilli peppers meets falco.

I'm starting to post this more often around here:

What the fuck happens to the OP for so many of these threads????

Maybe he figured he'd blow us all away and make the world safe for great music again--and when that didn't happen, it was time to move on and find a more favorable audience. Hope he stops and listens to someone somewhere...

That's what I'm thinking....Just the tone of the first post seemed to be more of an announcement than a request for help. I guess he didn't expect anything short of praise.

But it's not only this thread or this forum. People ask for advice in the "Recording Techniques" forum, for example, get all kinds of advice and help, and then never come back for so much as a thank you.

I hear ya. I'm seeing it left and right, too. And I've seen the instances where it's you saying "WTF?"

Go figure...
