I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference because..well...I only rate 1 of those bands. :p

Yeah holy shit I never knew....I'll be selling my 6505 tomorrow then....

:p

Which band is it?

And LOL! Are you being sarcactic or you're saying that EVH's new amp is as heavy as MT2 :p ?

Yeah I was being sarcastic. I'm saying the 6505 is a fucking brutal piece of equipment that will rip your face off, has one of the hardest metal tones I've heard and actually feels nice to play through.
I'm biased though, I hate distortion pedals.

The band is All That Remains. I don't know why, they have a generic quality to them, but they stand out a bit above the rest of those generic bands. And they put on a fucking good live show.

Drop tuning annoys me becuase I don't just play power chords and do a lot of lead. That's why I use a 7 string guitar for extra heavy low end riffs, still keep standard tuning and you get a low B in the mix too. Changing from sstandard makes things difficult when you introduce big licks across all strings or swept arps. Still though, depends on the music you like I suppose.

Even my low-E palm mute sounds just as low as their drop-C because of my rig settings.

How is that possible? How can a E note sound like a C? If its E its E. If you go lower to C then that will be lower than a higher E, the higher E cannot sound lower than a C note that IS lower.

just saying.
