Exactly. The real question is how much interest on that money earned you over the course of a year. E*Trade bank accounts pay 5.05 percent....

I try to end up owing my penalty-free max each year. Say that's $1k - if it averages about $500 over the year, I get about $25 interest. Not even enough for shipping on my GB equipment. :)

But the important part is that Uncle can't use my money interest free. I'd much prefer to have no advance payments (withholding or quarterly estimated) and pay the entire ~$10k when it's due on April 15.

Yes, this is true... Here's the "official" word:


Your merchant acct has been approved. We are now just waiting on the V #. Once I receive the V # I will get it right over to you.

I already have most of the coding on "our side" written. I'll just need to set up the gateway, finish the minimal coding and do some testing, but the gateway into LIVE mode and we'll be ready...

I'll keep you posted of any updates... Still as simple as "my piece" sounds above, this could take as long as tomorrow morning to complete...could... And I have no control over how long it will take them to supply me with the VNum for the gateway... Keeping my fingers crossed

This party is about to begin... I'll be finishing up the code integration tonight/tomorrow morning and we'll be set...

Thanks man... It has had it's ups and downs... But it has been a VERY educational experience for me... I've learned a lot during all of this...

Just want to give everyone involved the best system and payment options that I can... I can't wait to get the payment gateway up and running again...especially taking virtual checks as well! This will be a hoot!

Yes, credit cards will be accepted too, but also virtual checks for those who have the cash on hand and would like a lower processing fee...

Whats the deal with the new system for international customers? Are there any special things we have to do differently?

Also, any ideas on the international postage situation? It's going to affect whether I can get some pre's as well as mics!:(
