This sounds great Greg...was wondering how you get the reverb on the guitar..is it from amp or plugin? You totally nail the surf vibe...thumbs up!

Sounds great Greg...you are a cover-song maestro....

I really love your drum sound...that makes the song for me...you are putting those Mapex to good use.

Hey Greg.. you are my new hero! I love this stuff. Excellent playing, excellent recording.

Out of curiosity, did I buy a cabinet from you last year with 2x12 weber alnicos? We met at the randalls parking lot at 290 and Cypress/Fairbanks.

I don't recall the guys name, but he was all about surf rock.

Way cool, Greg. Great sound. No nits. Had to listen to Pipeline while I was at your site. I like Mr. Moto better.:)

Thanks queepy. I used the amps reverb, but I also added a little delay to the main guitar line with a plug-in.

Thanks true. I love these drums. I've been writing originals too, you know! :D

Thanks. I have "Walk Don't Run" and an original surf tune called "Hammerhead" on my soundclick page too. They and Pipeline were all done with an older setup, so I need to redo those things. :p

Love it, love it love it.

I'm not familiar with the original, but this is excellent. Perfect surf guitar, sound and performance.

Bass sounds great too.

Great job.

This is another great mix....Can't find anything I'd want to change! You must have a secret weapon. ;) Whether it's punk or surf you seem to nail it every time. Good job! :D

Lol. Thanks a lot Ido! :D

Fuckin' kick ass, Greg.

I think the lead in the first passage could come up a little.

Share your guitar chain pretty please?

Bass kicks ass.

Thanks man. What do you mean by "lead"? Do you mean the first "vocal" guitar line? Or the alternate-picking "chorus" part?

My guitar chain is pretty basic. It's a strat plugged into a cheapo acoustic-brand practice amp with an AT2020 on the grill. I just cranked the reverb and let er rip. The signal then goes into a Firepod and then into Reaper. I used the same amp setting for everything. I just used different pickups for some texture with the rhythms and alternate picking parts.

Stinkin sweet!
Man... I had to listen to Pipeline too. That's the first thing I ever recorded, on my first 4-track recorder, ever! I fell in love with it when the Oilers won the cup in 89-90, and the station the games were on was using "Pipeline" as the sort of theme song for in between plays and stuff.
You are doing a smash up job here dude. Kudos! Bravo! Yay! Keep 'er up!

Yes.
