I'd just like to apologize to each and everyone of you. I've spoken out of turn. Please, forgive me. Generally speaking, I try my best to make the world a brighter place, and I've failed miserably in this thread. At the same time, don't feel obliged to like me, or even acknowledge this apology.

Accepted, and well done. :)

I thought it was a Firesign Theatre reference, actually. Zaphod said it; somehow it got attributed to you when the post got deleted.

EDIT: Something's screwy in the attributions, apparently.
I think it just looks that way because I screwed up when I was quoting Mutt and it has left his
tag in these last few posts because it's being treated like text.

You remember Firesign Theater? Crap, I haven't even thought about those guys for years. Use to really crack me up. :)

I'm not a Nazi, I was horribly misquoted and it was taken out of context. :p

Whats with Firesign Theatre? Never heard of it?

Audio theater troupe that was popular in the '70s. They harked back to the days of radio theater but with more modern comedic sensibilities. Very funny stuff. :) I'm not sure how many albums they made but it was several at least..

I've got just about all of these, and then there were the solo/duo works (Roller Maidens from Outer Space, How Time Flys, etc.) We used to sit around in the dark and play them one after the other. And yes, we were. Very.

When you said "grumble, grumble", I thought you were referencing "Waiting for the Electrician or Someone Like Him" when the guru Master Tim (who lives in a life sized replica of the Taj Majal made entirely out of oleomargarine - let's knock on the door and see if he's home <splat><splat>...) brings out his meal of grubs and his disciples mutter, resignedly, in unison, "Grubs again, grumble, grumble".

Monty Python was pretty simplistic in comparison. Some of Firesign Theatre's works you had to listen to a few times before you had any hope of following them, and there always seemed to be something new to discover no matter how many times you'd heard it. Some jokes were split between albums; you'd have to listen to them both to get it.

As you were...

There you go, never heard of them.

I was more of a Vivian Stanshall and a Bonzo dog kind of guy..:)

Listen dip shit, I post here because in the course of my career as a luthier I wouldn't have learned half as much as I have in double the time if experienced people hadn't given me good advice from practical experience. All I'm doing is putting some back.

I came here looking for advice on recording and got good solid helpful "qualified" advice. If you hunt about you'll see I don't advise on recording issues because I am not qualified to do so. I do know about guitars and all that goes into making them and when some one hands out bad advice or contradicts what I KNOW will work on the basis of a failed attempt what the fuck do you expect me to do. I'm going to call you out. If you think I'm stroking my ego so be it. Your still wrong.

If you want to have a poll to see if I should stop handing out advice for the benefit of my ego go ahead. If people didn't want my advice they wouldn't put my username in the thread title would they?

As to not telling him what ink to use, if he wants to know all he has to do is ask.

Frankly I couldn't give a shit what you think about me. I could give a shit that you are telling someone how to do something the wrong way when you haven't got the first idea what your talking about.

Why do these threads always take a turn in this direction?

In Mexico, Senor, these are the years of sadness.

Muttley did not fire the first shot.

Oh don't worry, even without reading the thread, I know Muttley didn't start the argument. He never does. People just seem to love giving experts shit, though.

I didn't mean to imply that Muttley was at fault.

Apologies have been given in good faith guy's lets leave at that. :)
