Hmmm... maybe we need to further promote the preamps to get the numbers up? I'd love to save $100 if we could meet the minimums. :D

I have seen no exact price. Don't be surprised if many "orders" get cancelled when the real cost is unvieled.

Kind of late, but I just posted on recording dot org. forum

Oh Gawd..............the owner there will probably demand a % of your "profits" just for letting you post there. It was a reasonable forum some years ago until egos, the owner's attempts to use it for income generation and his behaviour that alienated a huge chunk of the RO community at that time kinda ruined it for a lot of people. :(

The price swing based on volume for the preamps is only $25 per unit. Hardly a reason to cancel an order at the levels at which people are buying.

True, but if someone is getting 4 units, the savings would amount to more than half the cost of one unit. In other words, for another $75.00, a fifth unit could be had

well i'm still waiting to hear from some folks at work, so i'll be adding to my order.

also, i'm sure that once an order deadline is in place, those numbers will jump up quite a bit.

Chance, do I have time to get the money
like a month or so? - just bought something
unpassable...

regards

Matti

Careful... people good with story problem solving skills might figure out the costs via the forums breaking the GB rulz. :D

paranoia has fully set in lol.

Although I'm looking at one more mic.

And I do remember seeing a price and an explanation in one of the mass e-mails. Even if it wasn't there, it's available via the GB web interface. Which can be joined without having to immediately create an order.

and will the oft promised information on the 1200 be coming soon?
This has nothing to do with anything posted here of course. Remember the Viet Nam war? American soldiers used the M16 rifle, and the Viet Cong used the Russian-made AK47. Google those two rifle model numbers along with "mic".

But which side are we fighting for;):p

This has nothing to do with anything posted here of course, but google "ak47 m16 mic".

LOL hence the meaning "weapons grade"
Since the news got out about those mics (AK & M) they have since been upgrading those with xfrmrs from Edcore (almost certain) as well as some other components.

Could we have some info about YOUR mics?

Are they similar to the "previous" weapons, so to speak, or the mk2's:p

Yeah, I guess I can say similiar, but I can't say more. (most of you understand why)

I see you got to my post before I edited it. :) I thought maybe I was being too explicit.

Yeah I totally understand why:)

What I (and others I'm sure) would really appreciate is YOUR description of YOUR mic. How does it sound? Is it more Western or Eastern:rolleyes:

Or even could you just tell us if its one of those "light and airy" mics, or "thick and warm" etc etc etc.

And also I'm sure its fine for you to compare it against your own ACM-6802

Thanks
Gareth

yes, and is there no one who has the weapons grade mic or its illegitimate twin brother as well as a 6802 and could compare them, without mentioning surnames of course.

I want to get another 6802 for a stereo pair, but I can't really afford to get the 6802 and the 1200 in this GB (at least not at the moment). I don't want to miss out on a screamin' deal if the 1200 is a lot better.

Does the 6802 have a secret twin I'm unaware of?
Did we ever get a Harvey review of the 6802?
