NO it was not with the thought in mind that I would make more money,.....

The main purpose was to inform as many of those who I am already associated with,
The opportunity to own some of my VINTAGE gear before it sold to a stranger.
Sort of 'keeping it all in the family' kind of thing.

I would much prefer to sell items here to people I know would get the most out of it,Than to sell my items to a perfect stranger .

I cannot wait for two or three weeks to see if a member can get up the funds,....and then find out they changed their mind.

Ebay forces immediate action.

I have had the experience here before,.... as well as other musician related sites,.... just does not always work when there is a time constraint.
And,
I know for myself, as a musician, wannabe, I never have money for gear when the REAL good deals are found....It just never works out that way most of the time....

I think if you want to sell something on ebay and offer it here as well then you should post it here first. Then if no one is interested in it here go sell it on the bay. Its really not a big deal to me either way, but this is more of a real community than ebay is, and it seems like more of a courtesy to try and sell it here first instead.

.............I am just sick of wading through ebay links masked as items for sale on the site..........

Well there's a simple solution for you...................DON'T LOOK IN THIS FORUM!!!!

How about, instead of acting like a big girl and bitching about it here, you contact Dragon and ask him to create a sub-section for Ebay items, that would be a much more pro-active and positive approach;)

In over 8 years here at HR I don't think I've ever tried to sell anything, however, I do browse this section a couple of times a day and we have spent well in excess of $10000AU on items listed here and probably a similar amount on Ebay over the years.

Mr Studio sir,.....
If you had items you wished to part with,
and it was so you could accomplish two or three things with that action,
And you were/are a member of a website that catered to a population that had an interest in your items, why for the love of god WOULDN'T you post a notice for those people??????

Yes, but I'd probably put the initials FA in front of it as well, and I also probably tell people that I had a bunch of neat stuff, having them write off the board, and then after all that sending them ebay links, saying, "well make an offer."

With that being said, I think it's good that you're flexible and that you posted that awesome Knight PA on the board here first. I'm flat broke for the next month, if not, I would buy it off you, I have its 6V6 brother and it sounds exactly like a Gibson GA-20.
