Knows very little
i just got an Akai MPD24. I got it all set up just fine, using FL6 BTW, but I am having a problem with my samples. When I hit the pad and trigger a sample its fine, but if I trigger that same sample again while the other is still playing out, it just plays over the already playing sample, very annoying. Im sure their is a setting for this, but I cant find it at all. Im using FPC in FL also.

Does anyone know how I can remedy this? Thanks if you can help.

just "right click" on the sample that you're triggering, and select "cut itself" and that should do the trick.. hope this helps:)

thanks for the reply, but i got it now:)

I gotta say, this is a great investment! Im going to be able to be more creative bing able to trigger my samples and laying out everything. I will probably still make my drums the same way though haha. Ill mess around. Ill post when i make something with this.

it would really be wise to read the manual to learn you new toy... it explain alot of stuff....

before someone else tell you this... enjoy your new toy

So I had the day off today and played around with it a bit. i made a video, Im just triggering the samples in it, I made this beat a few days ago, some of you may have heard it on my myspace already, if you did now you can see how I cut up the samples.

Anyways, here is the vid, shitty sound due to digital camera.
