I treated myself to a Peavey Delta Blues amp for Christmas-its basically the same as a Peavey Classic 30 only it has a foot-switchable tremolo circuit and a 15" full range speaker. Some people had requested a sound demo of it so here is what I have. The sound clip is fairly low-fi bass and drums are a Zoom Palmtop studio-lol!
The first clean guitar is a Strat out of phase, then a Firebird copy, a Epi Sheraton, and a Gibson 'the Paul'-there are a few rough notes but I'm really rushed to get anything done this weekend~~~~
It's on Soundclick as Peavey Delta Blues Demo

Thanx for the listen and compliment-I had the tremolo on the rhythm guitar but it's mixed too low to really hear it well. Since it was blues I kept the guitars pretty clean-I'll have to crank out some heavier stuff to demo the overdrive soon..

The strat is pretty cool. The amp sounds good. Though, wouldn't know a good amp from a bad one. :D.

you're welcome :)

i play the blues with a full tilt distortion. i get a lot more sustain that way :)

can't wait to hear the heavier stuff :)

Really, all amps have their best sounds somewhere in various styles of music--either Solid state or Tube--tubes just react a little more to you're playing dynamics.

Tony,
Sounds nice and bluesy. There's a nice bit of edge on a couple of the cuts. The amp records nice - no buzz and lots of tone. The playing reminds me of Clapton. Good choice of amp!

Thanks a lot Ido, I was trying to make it more bluesy that rocking out, though I probably didn't quite get either exactly..:o

I have an alternate clip up now with some very basic slide guitar-same location-its called Peavey Delta Blues Alternate demo

The firebird copy & epi sheraton sound best but the amp sounds really aptly named.
Enjoy!

Thanks a lot Ray-I call the Firebird my Frankenbird because it's built from parts-but it plays very nicely. The Sheraton is the Cadillac of my guitar collection, Ebony finish with cool abalone figuring on the headstock. On the alternate demo I used a Tele copy for slide-I get a lot of use from the Teles these days!

Just bumping this thread-this is quite a cool amp that will serve well as a recording amp or for gigging in an average sized club without any problems. The 15" speaker will move quite a lot of sound waves and with the tremolo it's sort of like a lower powered Fender Twin.
If you see one around, plug into it and check it out!!!!!!!!

It's on Soundclick as Peavey Delta Blues Demo or as Peavey Delta Blues Alternate Demo

Sounds pretty good Tony...some nice playing, and the sounds are really cool....I like it.

How did you record it? What did you do to process the sound? Pretty nice sounding stuff man...really clean sounding....nicely done...

I was just making some noise Ed-thanx for the compliment!!;)

I used a Beta 58 Shure clone mic and only the on board reverb on the amp and a touch of tremolo on the rhythm track. Only processing was normalizing the tracks for consistency.

I'm working on some more overdriven/distorted tracks for sometime soon-this amp was a great find for me-I like it a lot!
