when your tascam 1082 mixer plays the audio out of the connected speakers, along with the speakers connected to the computer (through the monitor mode on cubase), it reads the mixer, all the settings are correct (according to the manuel along with 3 different tascam rep's) and it still doesn't have an input meter....

BUT IT PLAYS THROUGH THE MONITOR MODE ON CUBASE

fuck tascam. 8 months of bullshit with them. I even brought it to 2 different companys about 30 miles away in each directiona nd they told me "Tascam said not to open it"

.... authorized tascam dealers can't fix it? wtf

frustrated... does anyone know what may be happening???? I think at this point I'll pay you if you help me fix it.

sounds to me like you've never gotten it configured in cubase properly... if you pull up youtube does the sound come through the tascam???? other windose sounds work through it???? why are you still useing the onboard soundcard as well??? that could well be your problem... incedently monitor mode doesnt go through cubase...

I actually just brought my mixer to a place about an hour north of me to be looked at so I can't try what you just said unfrotuantely... but i dont have the original house sound card, i have the delta 1010lt put in. I only still have it in so I'm capable of hearing eveyrhting else like my music, etc.

I'm just so dumbfounded... My analog mixer hooks up fine to cubase and records but the tascam doesnt want to have the actual sound come thorugh the db levels and record it :[ :[ :[

it's gotten to a point where my $600 is a huge waste...

multiple interfaces are for the most part a big no-no... it requires different drivers for each interface and they just dont like to play well with others... i have heard of some who've had luck with the asio4all drivers... also heard of systems that crashed big time so caveate emptor... actuall i've been interested it seeing what kind of luck people have been having with that piece... as i have the 1884 and was wondering if it might be a good way to add to it...
