I don't know what the standards are at SUNY, but you might want to learn how to type, spell, and use basic grammar.

Just a thought.

I make it 3 votes! :)

OTOH, if this guy is his school's valedictorian, I might as well kill myself right now. Or even worse, move to France.

I think you're probably better suited for barber college or a nice vo-tech school.

wow, good thing jennifur doesn't let you post nasty comments in here, you ***********

mx,

While I may not agree with everything that admin says or does around this place, he does have the total right to do it......................if you don't like it you have the option of using the door, it would show a deal more maturity than resorting to posts loaded with verbal vitriol and bovine faeces.

Sorry mate but you seem to missing the fact that it's totally irrelevant, this is Dragon's forum and he can do anything he damned well wants...............if any of us are that offended by it then we have the right to go elsewhere, posting inane, abusive comments achieves SFA.

If you've got your knickers in a knot over recent events (ie: bannings, etc.,) then I can assure you that there's always two sides to any situation, some just manage to promote their side of things more effectively than others, just as some people manage to let themselves be used without even realising it's happening ;)

can he post child porn? can he upload pirated software? no, i don't think he can do whatever he wants, despite the fact that this is his forum.

Of course he can do that if he wants, the consequences might be dire but it doesn't alter the fact that he can probably do it. Anyways, you're just being silly.

I wouldn't focus too much on college. Get a degree but more importantly understand that there are two types of successful people in this world. The first group is made up of people who are aggressive, have balls of steel, a modicum of intelligence, and who are willing to work hard. The second group is composed of people who understand that success is rarely defined in career or monetary terms. It's not on a resume and you can't achieve it through a good job or a college degree. Most Americans define success strictly in terms of financial rewards, titles, possessions, or fame. Don't fall into that trap.

I didn't need to go to college to learn how to cuss at people on a BBS. I learned that in middle school . . . and I am a success :D

Funny, that's exactly what I thought when I read that ;).

I graduated at Albany. I was admitted to Stony Brook but my folks were picking up part of the bills so they were freaked out about the rampant drug use at Stony Brook. I have to say they (Albany- my alma mater SUNYA) have vacuumed some funding their way for a cool campus.

Sorry andy, but

I stand by that comment.

If he were just inquiring about making beats, then I wouldn't have bothered.

Sorry if I couldn't resist pointing out the obvious irony, to which he is more than likely still oblivious.

But you are correct. It wasn't nice. I will therefor turn in my nice brigade badge tomorrow when I return the uniform.

'Nite all.

Probably not what he was looking for, either, but good advice nonetheless.

Where the Hell did this argument come from, and why is it in this random thread??

Apparently something was said and then removed, because Im thrown for a loop here.

As for college, dwillis is pretty spot on, even if he didn't say all that with only pictures. You can become very successful without a degree, but it certainly helps, especially if you go into a focused field. Are you an in-state resident of NY? If so, tuition at SUNYSB will be dramatically lower than if you are an out-of-stater. Might want to look into moving there as a resident and then starting classes :D

A friend of mine is getting his Masters and PHD at StonyBrook in Musicology, and once he became a NYS resident, his tuition dropped considerably. As for grants, etc., contact their financial aid office to see what you can get. As for outside grants and scholarships, I don't know - I was fortunate enough that one of my parents taught in a small college that participated in the tuition exchange program, so I got a decent portion of mine deducted. Not bragging, just explaining why I got nothin in that area.
