Pcm?

Kind of a cross post, sorry. I put this in the Reaper forum, but I may have asked it in the wrong place....


"I tried to import a .wav file into a song, and it showed up as offline. When I right clicked on the properties tab, it said "This wave file is not PCM or floating PCM"...


What is that? Is there a codec or plugin I need in reaper to use these files?"

is it one of those old wav files that were encoded with mp3, even though they had a wav extention. I remember those from forever ago.

I'd do something like convert it (use iTunes or similar) to a wav file...

Freeware like CDEX or MEDIACODER will work to convert all sorts of audio
MEDIACODER will also convert video, or extract audio only from video
