Im doing a project that I believe will be pretty cool.

I have a korina wood epiphone 1958 gibson flying V copy that i'm going to refinish. Right now it is natural wood with poly clear.

I'm going to paint it black with old school hot rod flames of yellow, red, and orange.

I am going to do the flames on the top, the back, the back of the neck too.

I removed the metal epiphone headstock logo and I want to come up with something good to match the hot rod flame theme of the guitar.

I have thought about "rock & roll", "hot rod", and "V"..I dunno...those 3 are kind of weak.

I will post pics of the project as I progress.

Any Ideas for the headstock (it's the pointed one so space is limited)?

Sounds like a cool project. I kinda like the "V" idea on the headstock. You could hot-rod that out with flames or penisis or something that would be pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward a flaming V on the headstock.

The only thing I can't decide is should I put a headstock logo reading up and down or side to side.

Side to side would be like the Gibson logo on the originals...but most V guitars have a logo that reads up and down.

Well I have a ways to go before I get to that point.
