Hello,
I just finished shielding my MIM Telecaster.. and I seem to be having a problem with the neck pickup.
Whenever I switch to the 3rd position no sounds comes out!

any one knows what's going on?
thanks

Somewhere in the shielding either the neck pickup's hot output has grounded or broken or you have somehow lost the ground to the neck pickup. Are you using a standard 3 position or a 4 position switch in the Tele? A 4 way will often call for different grounding for the neck pickup.

Seymour Duncan has many wiring schematics on their websites that can help troubleshoot situations like this..

I have the standard 3-way switch.
I did the GuitarNuts Tele shielding mod: I placed pieces of copper in the 3 cavities (bridge, neck pickup and controls) as indicated..

I tried to isolate the components from the body with pieces of cardboard, but the neck pickup still didn't produce any sound!

this is driving me crazy!
I also checked the solder points on the neck pickup while it was plugged, they seem ok, yet no sound comes out.

do you think the pickup died?
me so confused :(

that's an amazing link
Cheers!
