I wasn't sure whereelse to put this, I thought perhaps the Cubase forum as it's a similar program, but the fact it's for Cubase and not Reason turned me off..

I don't know how people on this forum feel about pirated software, but meh I downloaded this via a torrent. What I want to know is if anyone else has done so, because I'm having a bit of an issue installing it, as far as I'm aware most people download the version that comes with 3 ISO CD files, they basically mount them via PowerISO or Daemon tools, and run them. But this doesn't work for me.

I'll give more details if someone replies who can actually help.

Dude, it's way not cool to pirate software and it is not something we take kindly to here.

See, I thought this would happen.

Do you not think it's slightly more uncool for the companies who make it, to also charge extortionately for them? Reason is pretty cheap, but only by comparison, it still runs into the £150 mark. However the likes of Photoshop CS3 goes well into £400. These companies make a fortune whether I buy their product or not, they also manipulate thier target markets into paying the amounts they want to recieve.

You don't find that uncool?

They don't have any sense of fair play, so I don't see why we should.

They built that shit from the ground up, they can charge what they want. Your not being forced to buy it.

Working for a software development company myself - I can tell you that more often than not - operating costs, research and development, and competition drive the price of products like this. Our shop has over 800 people working for it, from software development, web dev, IT, Project Mgmt, Video, Audio, Marketing, Cust serv, Operations, Shipping, R&D, Finance, HR, etc, etc, etc. It takes a lot of cash to drive a shop like this...year in, year out...always updating and working on the cutting edge to provide a quality product to people who need it. These companies make money because they work their asses off to earn it. What do you do?

You make it sound like "software" was merely discovered by a single person (who in your mind probably looks like Mr. Burns...right?) and then sold in a market without competition. On the contrary - it takes a lot of work, and people, to invent this stuff - and there's plenty of other software out there to provide an even playing field. Competition keeps prices for this stuff at a pretty reasonable margin - even if your cheap ass doesn't want to pay for it.

You're a tool if you think you're justified in stealing stuff just because you don't want to pay for it. Not fair???? How old are you. Thats what my 7 year old whines when she doesn't get her way. Grow up and stop stealing from people. If you don't like it, or dont want to pay for it - then don't. Go make your own, or buy from a different company. jackass.
