Hope you liked em. Hit me back!

well, since all of these "songs" were obviously manufactured using software and no real recording took place (other than the session sample recordings at the software company's studio), i don't really think i can offer you an opinion on the recording at all.

your drum programming, however, needs help. there were several moments when the fills were way off. if an actual drummer can't get away with such foibles, certainly a computer-generated loop shouldn't be allowed to.

WTF,
Excuse me if if I find no value in your opinion. Yes I except any type of useful comments that come around but dude to me that was just some BS. Just because I don't have a full set of mics and huge recording facility doesn't meen you cant judge the mix and you have to under mind my product as something of lesser value. Tell me what producer now addays don't use a good set of samples with live instrumentation? Though I didn't record these sounds, I still played them SOAB. I find no value on your comment about the instrumentation as well. There's nothing wrong with the drums in either song. Excuse me if you cant understand it well enough.

I agree.

I finally got em to work and thought they were excellent. The first one cracked me up because I knew what ad you were trying to emulate. It sounded great. the second was a bit rough in the guitar dept. All three were excellent on a musical level and very creative.:)

Shit man...Being a drummer, I listened to them hoping to be able to agree that the drum fills were way off....I didn't hear a thing wrong with the drums at all, programming-wise.
These clips sound good. The only thing I'd offer is that in the second clip, the snare sounds REALLY compressed. It may be what you're going for, though. Besides that, I think these are well done.

I'm glad ppl agree with me on that bs comment. Yeah I was going for a very limited (as in limiter) drum set on the second one. I'm still a relative noobie when it comes to rock tracks but I think I pulled it off heh. I don't agree with some of the eq's on the snare yet to add to this (though there's no mix on anything yet lol) Very hot and pumpy.

Could you also provide a little more info about the guitar David K? I'm still learning guitar a bit and am a keyboardist at heart and with no access to studio guitarists at the moment, I needed to put something down lol. What exactly do you find lacking? The mix, instrumentation, ect?

fyi, i record in a tiny 9x14 space in my basement. and please allow me to judge your grammar: "under mind" should be "undermine," "meen" should be "mean," and " now addays" would be spelled "nowadays."

as for rami's comment, all i can say is if he actually knew that the drums were a rhythm instrument he'd see the same flaws i did. look, i'm not trying to be a dick. i just listened to the samples again, and about 2/3 of the way through the scion thing you have a quantization problem with the drum fill, and that's a fact.

i can't deny that the mix is flawless--it is--but how hard can mixing possibly be when every component of that mix has been recorded for you???

sorry. if you're looking for input on your mix, congratulations--it's impeccable. beyond that, i think it's crap. so exile me. i'm sure i'll pick up plenty of red chiclets over this one, despite the fact that fraserhutch has some 60 billion rep points for being honest.......

oh, and my opinion isn't here for you to "except" it, but rather "accept" it...i'm just trying to be thorough here...or as you might say, "Thor-O." ok, now i am just being a dick...:D

Excellent mix

Nice going! But, I have to agree that the drum fill in the Scion tune if way off. I listened several times, and could not keep my toe tapping.

Also, I've done some jingle work in the past. Most radio stuff is either 28 or 58seconds. Why the strange length of your tunes?

Wonderful mix, though!

Ummm, I accidently gave drossfile positive rep, I meant it to be negative. Maybe someone can help change that.

I checked out your recordings. It sounds like you are recording in a Campbell's soup can. Actually, more like a Walmart soup can.

You try it and get back to us....

Yeah, I really need to be eductated by a frickin' ignoramus like you. Educate me...I know nothing about drums....I need someone with as little talent as you, and the recordings to prove it, to teach me, ;););)

sorry...

hey, sorry guys--seriously. i was pissed about something wholly unrelated to this forum and got all childish and stupid here just because i could.
you guys gave me a pounding that i had coming.
david k--sorry you accidentally gave me positive rep, i obviously didn't deserve it (although i can't say i'm upset about not being at -900 rep). hope i don't become persona non grata around here because of a couple of really dumb comments i made. what else can i say?

No problem.

Yeah....quantization issues

I dont think so. There is an extra beat in the middle, a 5/4 bar. I do hear what you mean but I assume it is intended. However:

there is an attack problem. Some attacks are instant and some are not. This happens on my Yamaha synth, I can quantize something and it will sound late even though it is not. It is the attack that is late. Personally I dont mind it on this piece, but it is there.
