...Hey,

Another pop/rock tune. Let me know what you think of the mix and anything I can change. Thanx.

I was on the last track of recording this when I realised I recorded everything in 16bit instead of 24bit. I hear a slight harshness on the hi-hats, but it might be my imagination.

SAY GOODBYE

Great song Rami. Everything sounds pretty great as usual. Guitars, bass, and the main vocals sound exceptionally good. There's really only 2 things that I'd personally change: The flangered/filtered chorus is a little thick. It's a nice touch and a good idea, but I think you could get away with a little less effect and still get the same point across and make it a little more intelliglible. The other thing is, and I'm struggling with this one, is that the kick may be a little too punchy. Your songs always seem to have this locked in bass/kick groove that really kicks ass, but I think this time the kick may be a little too much. The rest of the kit sounds fantastic as usual. Those are the only 2 nits I have with this one. :o

Cool song overall with nice, clean, slick production. Great job as usual. :)

I agree with Greg - the bass and kick are locked and loaded.

Cool stops and starts - adds lots of places for those "poses" I do when I dance lol if you wanna call it that....

The mix is level and nicely balanced. That kick is prominent but not offensive IMHO. Not getting the harshness on the hats. I can hear the bass in these pc speakers which is a sign of a good rounded mix.

Good job...!

:):D:):D

Yeah I'm not having any problems with the hats either. Forgot to mention that.

Thanx alot guys.

Greg, I see what you mean about the flange part. What I'll do, and should have done, is have the lead vocal sing along to that part to make it more discernable and "un-flange" it a bit.

Thanx for the listen, Ido...I'm glad the hi-hats aren't as bad as I thought. I was so pissed off when I realised I was recording everything in 16bit, I might have started hearing things.

You can leave your hats on. No harshness on the streamer.
I like the phased(?) - no flanged vocal phrases. Though your revision idea for this part might be ace too.
Nice tightpiece - the spaces are fun air punching punctuation.
Cool guitar licks - top stuff.

Thanx Ray. How's everything across the ponds??? Nice to hear from you. These different time zones keep us apart. :)

Hey Rami...cool tune man...you definetly have a knack for writing catchy hooks (and lyrics!!:))!!Tasty lead guitar bit in there around 3:00...just a bit short, felt like it was gonna start really rippin' but then it went back into the chorus...
Was wondering if you ever gig out with a band playing your songs? I bet they would go over great live!!

You always seem to achieve real good clarity and balance in your mixes. I can't hear anything amiss with the hats on headphones. Cool tune, nice simple hooks. I like

See... what did I tell you??? Your music goes over well every time. The 16 bit didn't hurt the sound at all. Great tune!!! You never leave me disappointed.

Hey man, I almost hate to do this, and these shitty headphones I'm using may be the whole problem here.... this is just what I hear... couple small things on the mix... maybe if someone else can chime in on these things that's listening through something other than poop cans.

Right at the beginning around 10 seconds in, there are a couple crash hits that seem a little too loud.

On the whole track, I think the snare could come down a microscopic little bit. This is the criticism I think may be entirely in my headphones though. They have some strong presence peaks at several places.

I think that little solo/riff that starts around 2:43 could use a little bit more hi-mids on the eq to cut through a little more.

that's all... great track. thanks for giving me something to listen to.

Hey Sleeper............Thanx for the listen and especially for the critiques and suggestions.

You're right about that cymbal. In fact, I find it loud all through the tune. I ended up moving further from the mic since doing this drum track.

Yeah, I did have trouble getting the guitar to cut through. I didn't think of trying to give it more bite with EQ. Worth a try......

Thanx a million for taking the time, buddy.

Thanx alot, Bull's. I think I was imagining that hi-hat, because I'm convinced it's OK. Thanx alot for the nice words, dude.

Thanx alot Axman.....I didn't want to extend the guitar too much since I find this more of a "pop" song,,,and also...that's all I had. :D

Thanx alot, buddy.

Hey RAMI – sounds good to me. Tight and hip as usual.

I like the effect on the vocal harms. I like the ill iteration “mangled misconceptions make it messy in my mind”

Drumming sounds great.

Regards.

...Hey,

24 bit is overrated, IMHO. Take your pick, acquire at the rate the CD is going t be, or force a 24-16 dither, and hope it stays true. I think it's so esoteric a difference as to be insignificant. But that's me.

No harshness on the hats at all. Lead vox seem a little small to me. Actually, all the vox seem a little small to me; they don't' cut as well as you usually have them. Probably because they were recorded 16 bit. :D

This is an amazing tune! It's filled with turns, twists, sudden stops and impeccable playing.

I'm such an ass kisser.;)

Nah. This is great stuff.:)

If you're hearing something wrong with the hats, it's all in your imagination.

I'm listening on phones right now, so keep that in mind.
I love the vocals....they come across extremely well. I love the drums also....good sounds there. Nice bass tone as always....fits well, and carries a great groove. I like the guitars, but changing them won't hurt the tune at all. Many different sounds could fit this well.

Nice tune....great listen.
