I know im going to sound stupid, but im wondering what the AUX section of this mixer does. Im just getting into recording, and im seriously considering buying the MultiMix 16. Thanks.

Slowing becoming un-noob.
I'm not EXACTLY sure what the aux section does...but I have a MultiMix16, I think the aux section is where you can plug in an eq and other things of that sort. BUT be careful, you can't record using the aux, the signal is sent to the computer to be recorded BEFORE the Aux effects the sound, so yeah.
Just thought I'd let you know. I love my multimix 16, it is working out great for me, It would be so much better if the Aux worked recording though, but yes.

I have a MM16 POS firewire.
I love it when it works properly but my unit must have been put together in the dark. Literally 10 minutes ago I look over and I am getting the clipping light. Well im not even using it. nothing is plugged in. this happened before and Alesis fixed it. I shipped it to them. This was in fact the 2nd time I shipped it back to the company.
FWIW, i would shop around and stay away from this unit. Even at its now low cost. There are so many things out there that must be more reliable.
