Hooking up 4-track to audio interface

Hey...

Re-route me to an existing thread, I'm sure this has been asked but I don't know the proper language.

I have a Tascam 4-track. My question is, how do I connect this to my Tascam US-122mkII and what can I expect?

I want to be able to use the former as a mixer -- so that I can record more than two microphones at once (as per the US-122). Is this possible?

What your asking is, to use your 4 track as a mixer? I suggest for a few hundred, get an interface with more inputs. If you are OK with a mixer then reducing it to two channels, but really, that is moving backwards and throwing good money after bad.
 
You didn't tell us which Tascam 4-track it is, but it makes no nevermind - doesn't it in fact only have two inputs (record two tracks at most at one time)? How do you think using it's input outputted to the US122 (which only has 2 track capability) is going to let you do more than 2 separate tracks?
