Connecting Motif XS6 to Presonus FireBox

Hello,

I'm new to setting up a home studio and have a question. I would like to know/understand another method of connecting these 2 units.

I know the Motif can be connected through the Line In (3 & 4) in the back of the Firebox as one method.

My Motif has the mLAN16E2 interface (Firewire). Is it possible/logical to connect a Firewire cable from the mLAN16E2 to the FireBox's firewire port 1 and then another firewire cable from the Firebox's firewire port 2 to the computer?

I'm waiting for the Firebox to arrive so I thought I would do some research on this but haven't found an answer.

One easy thing you can do is to call a FREE techie at Sweetwater Sound. If you want to call a Sales Rep., or you know one, you can still call FREE. He/she can refer you to the free help from a techie.

This should work and the call is FREE.
