there is the link to my site, if you could have a look at DEMO, if that doesn't work clikc on the lycos link and it'll take you to my bit there!

ok cool thanks!

raindrops,

Excellent recording. I'd like to know what all you used to accomplish it. I would have liked to have heard some lyrics though it sounded like there was a coral effect in the mix there somewhere.

As a first tune you should be really pleased with it.

There's one thing you might be able to help me with. I just started streaming my mp3's from my webpage. Everything is working fine on my computer at home but I've had no feedback yet so I don't know how it is working on others. What file extension did you use to link to your midia device for streaming? I guessed at it and used .wmp and it brings up my Media Player 7 just fine but I'm wondering about others. Would .asf be a better file extension?

Keep up the good work,
Rusty K

Hi cool thanks for listening loads. on my site i have written a kit list down for this track(and all of them really). I would like some lyrics for this one, i dont have the voice myself! I had an offer from a friend and ill see what happens about that but i am microphoneless and moneyless aswell. maybe sometime. you were right i did use a choir sound from my synth.

as for your question about streaming.. i have not a clue about all this stuff, it is all alien to me, i just uploaded my mp3 onto the lycos music thingy and added the link to my page thus bypassing their site completly which i thought was rather sneaky! if you'd like me to try out your page to see if i can get it to stream i'd be willing just gimmie the address.

thanks again for listening.
cool bye

Thanks raindrop,

My site is: http://r-dkeith.home.texas.net/welcome.htm

The shortest download is "One After 909" it was about 15min. on my computer so take your time when it's most convenient. Make sure the webpage displays on full screen or the links will be covered by the picture, I'm not sure just why that is happening but I'm working on it.

Thanks,
Rusty K

I really like this tune. I think you make do very well with what you have.
You got a good guitar sound (plugging it directly in?) which I have been trying to do as I record in the middle of the night.

I like the drum sound/programing as well. and good production.

Yeah man good job... not really my style of metal but you've done a pretty good job on this with what you've got... it's very emotive and I like the way it builds up... great song dynamics. Kinda reminds a bit of Tool.

I don't know about tool, but I was waiting, for some Norwegian death metallic skull searing vocals to pop in.

Anyway this was a great song, pristinely recorded. That was a drum machine right?

The beginning bit was a little long, but that might just be my punk rock ears, or maybe cuz I was waiting for some vocals.

Anyway, it kicks as is.

Great for halloween

Pretty erie tune dude, perfect for this time of year. You got a nice 'feel' to the snare parts and i enjoyed that. I need to listen again on my monitors at home (i'm at work on PC speakers) but i dug it.

rusty - hi i had a listen to one after 909, its not really my style of music, but very competantly performed, i think it is a bit of hinderence to my music not being able to perfrom to a very high standard. The recording sounds a bit dead, i don't know what you used to record it, seemed to be lacking a bit in top end. I have the great advantage that im recording everything bit at a time, as many takes as i'd like. I would like to be able to record one takes though, you capture the feel much better. I would say though one ofter 909 sounded at times a bit standard, but well performed. i like the "alright boys lets go" before the solo, makes me chuckle

nilbog - yup guitars plugged straight in through my boss vf-1 which i think is rather good, (i haven't played with the pod though).

jet - yes that might sound good, unfortunately i couldn't find the "Norwegian death metallic skull searing vocals" preset on my keyboard!
the drums are from my keyboard. i should be getting a real drum kit soon, cause i can play a bit of drums, it's not really ideal using my keyboard.

thanks every one for your feedback (assuming you all wouldn't mind i added your comments to my site so people who don't visit here can see what people think of it, if you mind ill take them off)

thanks again

raindrops,

Thanks for taking the time to listen. You're the first to respond and it's good to know my streaming is working.

It's an analog "board mix" of a live club performance. Yes I hate board mixes. Typically they will sound very flat and dead but this guy has been mixing this room for at least ten years and makes it sound as good as it can I think.

I'm just using some stuff my band does for money to make sure my mp3 and my streaming techniques are up to snuff. I knew it wasn't your style but exchanging ideas is what this wonderful site is all about. Ah Shucks! I'm getting close to having some of my original music posted.

Good Luck!

i couldn't get the streaming to work. when i clicked on the link it took me to a page with a link on which i pasted into the address bar and it started downloading. I don't know anymore about streaming. With a page at mp3.com they make you a 24kbps lo quality stream and a 128kbps hi, i can't stream at 128kbps modem not too fast, so it's download for me

thanks
