mixing/mastering @ same time???

I think this is an 8 year old topic brought back to life!

However, just to throw in that the other aspect of mastering is to make a series of separate mixes that will appear next to each other on a CD sound like part of the same family....

This is easier to understand if you work with all digital music like electronic... It's a good idea to constinously mix and keep a maintained mastering track...

Side B I get what you're sayin but you're missing the need for a new set of ears to master a project.
