S singerRecorder New member May 11, 2020 #1 Hi all, I am very new to mixing and don't know much at all. In the song "Bad Liar" from Imagine Dragons YouTube the sound is very enveloping. I feel like in a sound bubble. How do they achieve that? How could I try to reproduce that in my mix? Thanks

mjbphotos Moderator May 12, 2020 #2 Good stereo separation with instruments placed well, reverb and delay used well. The string pad sound accomplishes much of it - note how the stereo image shrinks to the center around 1:55.
