    What is a typical EQ setting for a bluegrass banjo?

    Usually none, if you use the right mic.

    I actually found a EQ setting that works pretty good given:
    - banjo
    - mic
    - room
    - hammer

    EQ on a bluegrass banjo? First you have to find a bluegrass band that will permit you to close-mic and overdub their instruments to begin with.

    This is how you do it...Open you EQ and from 20khz to 20,000khz make a 40 db cut.
