tascam 388 - service

Hi, I want to take my Tascam 388 to a qualified professional this summer to get it recalibrated and have the capstan belt and a meter bulb replaced. Does anyone have any positive experience with any techs in the chicagoland area that know how to work with a reel to reel recorder? If so, please post their name/contact info. Thanks!
 
Try Gand Music in Northfield. I haven't been there, or anywhere up there for a few years, but they used to have a couple great reel techs.

The name of the place that worked on my 388 is Deltronics, They are located in chicago.
Im sorry I cant find the phone number or address now but they should be in the phone book.
They did a good job for me on my unit.

And it looks like Im going to be going up there again cause I just bought another 388 that Im not sure if it works or not,, Another ebay deal!

175.00 plus shipping so I thought it would be worth the risk.
