Not that this has anything to do with the Dimarzio's problem, which I'm positive has nothing to do with magnetized heads.

Jason, what exactly did you mean? You do know that the heads, as the source of the magnetic field are the reason damags were invented? In this case, the clue is the change in the noise. It’s on one channel only, and comes and goes. That cannot be a magnetic issue.
