I need help identifying these mics!

Hi there, I'm living in Taiwan and a friend of mine has a contact at a mic company. I'd like to do a group buy with fellow musicians living in Taiwan. I think for those in America doing group buys it makes more sense to contact the original manufacturer because these will be more expensive because of import costs into Taiwan and the wholesaler's profit margin.

I know the ST-104 is the mic that they mod into the Fathead (they change the ribbon and grill) I already have two fatheads and they're awesome and I imagine the thinner ribbon is more sensitive any way.

The Ribbon 1,2 and 4 look like the Apex 205 or 210, but I don't know which one...

The Ribbon 6 looks like the Vin Jet

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

I'm not certain, but I believe that those are all or almost all built by Alctron in China. The mics are sold with slight variations for a lot of companies, with the caveat that the variations may be significant. For example, some companies use different ribbon thicknesses, some have different specifications on what kinds of capacitors are used (film vs. electrolytic/ceramic). some even use different capsules such as the 797 Audio capsules.

In other words, comparison to the major brands doesn't really mean that you'll get the same mic. Also, if you want your group buy to get cancelled, comparing the products to the major brands is the best way to ensure you get stuck....
