The Bitch!

I can't believe it. I was checking out the gear list of my main backing vocalist, an independant recording artist from San Diego. It seems when she was a kid, she wanted to take up a little guitar. Her mother had an old one in a closet in a ratty case (the original). I checked out the godamn thing and it's a gut strung 1890 Martin parlor guitar with a straight neck and perfect intonation with barely a scratch!!! It turns out her greatgrandmother turned a trick for it, which I figure, if you take the long view, makes her one of the highest paid call girls in history. I'm forcing her to have a custom case made for it, and a little gentle humidification is probably in order. Anybody have a clue what this thing is worth, in round figures?-Richie

well Monroe, I'm not exactly an expert...but, I could imagine such a find gathering bids of over $10k...let us know how things go.

Keeping things in perspective and round figures...

I think THE DICK would be in order.

Give it a try. It's worth a shot. You just might end up with a new guitar of high value.:)

Well, Ginzoo, we were lovers for 2 years, but that's history now. The truth is, I will always love her, and I'd probably take a bullet for her, but she's the best Alto voiceover specialist I've ever met, so I think I'll always be protective of her and her Martin. I can't believe she's kept it in that case all these years, and it still lives. I just want to know if she gets a new KIA, or a new Dodge RAM!-Richie
