I was at the Fillmore the night they recorded Live at the Fillmore East. (Actually it was recorded over several nights, so I was there for one of them.
) Great, great band while Duane was alive. Decent band without him.

As much as a bummer as all this is, anyone who had a career in the 60s and 70s is going to be careening towards the end of their life.
Unfortunately, there aren't enough artists to replace them. Even if there were, we probably wouldn't like them. It still sucks to wake up every other day to find another one has kicked the bucket.
