My drums and guitar don't play in time.

He is my new bitch. If you want a piece of him you can rent him from me for a cigarette an hour. ...He may not be qualified to give out engineering advice but he is perfectly qualified to 'toss my salad'

L--M--A--O--!!!!

so.

tex is an inmate at a penitentiary who has sex with other men for cigarettes and you think its funny? i think its sad.

no wonder your recordings are so lame. i bet the prison doesnt have very good recording equipment.

have you guys actually listened to texs recordings? i realize they are only "demos" but i think that what they are meant to demonstrate is that anybody can record anything and put it up on the net.

But my bitch won't show us her's.

blah blah blah ..still waiting for yours. You said your studio's better than mine, I'd like to confirm that for myself. Quit changing the subject and let's hear some audio.

Tex, I owe you a couple of smokes :D

i never said my studio was better than yours!

i said i doubt that YOUR studio is better than mine!

i still do.

i dont happen to have any tunes on the net but when i do i will let you lamers know about it.

my music is not yet copywrited but i will be glad to write and record an original composition especially for you!

i think i'll call it "lame dorks at homerec forum eat my green poo".

i will try to have it up ASAP! :)

...what a surprise. You don't have anything recorded.

...My Copyright isn't done yet (whine)
...My computer isn't working (whine)
...My dog ate my 4 track (whine)

...save it
...and save your pathetic criticizms - you're not qualified.

Hey Tex, Where do I send the Cigarettes.

Sorry about the Latency problem, but when you use a 366mhz and a program like Magix, you are bound to have a few problems. the Good news is right now upgrading to a 1ghz is cheap right now and cakewalk has a few affordable options to get you started.

Personally I use a stand alone DAW and will never go back unless if Its a protools system with a tactile Controller , The mouse is to frustrating for me.

To me computer recording without access to full control is like surfing for porn, while using a hands on DAW is more like real sex.

TEX IS HAVING LATENCY PROBLEMS?????

OH THAT IS TOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I GUESS THAT QUALIFIES HIM FOR THE LYING SACK OF SHIT AWARD!!!!

SEAHORSE I AM SO SORRY TO HAVE DISAPPOINTED YOU!

I SAID I WOULD HAVE YOUR TUNE ASAP!

WOW IT SEEMS LIKE THERE ARE EVEN MORE "PRISON YARD HOMOSEXUALS" HERE!

NEWBIES BEWARE!!! DONT TURN YOUR BACK ON THESE GAYS!!!

High!

I also had those latency problems on a pentiumII 333MHz with magix and a Soundblaster AWE64 Gold. I actually would not have been able to get rid of them. In addition, I always had the impression that my midi playback was always slightly out of time.

That was, besides the fact that I prefer to work with faders and no screen, a reason to buy a VS880EX.

Later on, I had a discussion with sb. who does a lot of configurations for audio recording pcs, and he stated that most people that were having problems with their recordings simply had too much other stuff on their PCs. Network, USB, firewire, a parallel port zip drive, modems, scanners, 15 printers, 4 drawing programs with 500 fonts a.s.o. This may be a reason, why it does not work properly to record with your computer.

I'm quite sure that the guys who love recording on their pc, don't have all this shit installed. I had and it made me HATE to record on the PC. And as I need the pc to work with I can't get rid of all this stuff, that I really need...

You should look in the cave or the hot deals forums for MONTY he is selling a vs880 for real cheap. He will give you a deal.

back to the original post...

>Hi. I'm using a ***Packard Bell*** club-366mhz PC with over 200mb ram,

that's the problem right there! sorry, i'm a bit of anti pc corporation nazi (i'm talking about personal computers, this has nothing to do with race). =)

in truth, the pcs you order from a big company like compaq, hp, dell, etc... are not set up to edit audio well (or do anything else well, for that matter) most of the time. here are 2 articles about optimizing. between the 2 you should be able to get enough to fix your latency problem. they focus on software and hardware tweaks/upgrades, respectively.
