Lots of cool studio pics. I like to look through this thread and get new ideas of placement and things. Here is a pic I took on Sunday. I'm looking into getting an Otari MTR-10 for mixdown then I can use the Tascam 32 for the old slap back.

Really beautiful lighting.

Is that a TLM103?

If it were me I'd move the monitor speakers just a little closer together and point them inwards toward the mix position.

no..it's an MXL 990

as for the speakers ...i was just lining them up to have a better symmetry in the photo...lol

my "sitting position" is more towards the right...so therefore it's fine

My Humble Digs

Hi All,

Here is my home office/home studio. I like the vibe in the room, I think it's conducive to creative endeavors :) I don't have much in the way of outboard gear, but I did take the time to treat the space with DIY bass traps and absorption in some key spots. I'm working on getting set up to record live drums now, so that's my next big focus (they will go in the other room - other side of the control room window).

Ahh, is that a Wacom tablet you have there? At first glance I thought it was one of the Jazzmutant touchscreens, but now I think I recognise it as the Cintiq?

And yes, I totally agree that the yellow woofers make all the difference :p Yellow is the new Yamaha white!

Pictures of my humble home studio. Old school Yamaha AW16G SIAB which is a great solution for me, small mixer just for routing stuff, drum kit and various amps and stompboxes. Really just a setup to make demos for my band and musician friends. It ain't Pro Tools...but it does what I need it to do. More fun than you should be allowed to have in the basement.

Good choice on the moon gels

Heres my Studio and setup, built it all myself.

My wee studio

Just downscaled everything from a digital mixer to control surfaces. Works great! :)

Interested to hear from New Country genre lyricists who would like to collaborate.
