Is there any song subject matter that you find hard to listen to ?

Anything with bunnies in it. "Here comes Peter Cotton Tail, hoppen down the bunny trail." I mean how creepy is that.
 
Age does have a lot to do with it. Since 1964 when I was allowed to listen to a radio, most of what we heard had a blend to it. Once your initiation is in a certain style, it's like a homepage in today's technical world. When I say I can't stand rap, it's simply that the beat annoys me, I barely hear any words so it never gets any further than the entire body of my vehicle starting to shake at a traffic light. That's what I was teething on 50 yrs ago so many other styles are palatable and some are not. Frankly, I love many kinds of music. In my own home recording, nearly every track is laid down with instruments and not software. But...things have changed and will continue to do so.
