If it sounds good man by all means do it. Experiment and see what sounds best. Typically the closer the mic is to the beater the more click. I put it close when recording rock or metal type bands but for my reggae band i put it halfway in the hole.

Yeah, you just run your monitors thru the sub. You run the full range mix to the sub and it has L & R out with a crossover that you can set to the main speakers.

Yeah, all the inputs on the back are quarter inch and xlr combo inputs so i'm assuming they act the same as the first 2 on the back which I use.

Yep, I use a Presonus Studio Channel with mine. I just go balanced quarter inch into input 1, and it totally bypasses the internal mic pre.

I am trying to mix a track in Sonar 8.5 that I made in Reason 5.0 and Fl Studio. The problem is that when I export the tracks from Reason they all match up. The Fl ones do too. But, in sonar, when I try to play all the tracks together they sound fine at first but fall off time slightly and alot...
