The hiss on "Whatever it Takes" should be a lot less than previous recordings. Now I just need to fix the vox a bit.
Let me know what you think.
FYI - this recording is all acoustic plus vocals. Not the gain staging in pedals for electric guitar...
Haven't posted in a while. I don't know why but I really like Ms. Raitt's "I Cant Make You Love Me" so I took a stab at it.
Lotsa background noise but I hear that in all my recording so I've given up on that. I'm obviously not the best guitar player out there but I enjoy playing and singing...
Been a while since I posted. This is a very simple, stripped version of this Incubus song. I did experiment a bit with effects on the vocals and the lead guit.
Feedback appreciated. I'm listening to it right now and am already identifying areas that need fixing.
Thanks in advance...
Long time no post.
Would highly appreciate a couple minutes of your time listening to the top song called "Here With Me." I tried my best to do this Mercy Me cover (acoustic version) and am now considering giving it up. I think the vocal demands are just too much for my limited range to handle...
Need your suggestions on two mics:
My bigger need is for quieter solo or duo acoustic applications. Condensor maybe? The Neumann is too expensive for me.
I've read about the 535 and the e865s here in the forum but not a whole lot on a Rode condensor for live use. Doesn't need to be a Rode but...
Stretching my very limited vocal abilities quite a bit here. I've tried retracking several areas but I can't seem to get it any better.
Should I keep or trash this?
It is the very first one called "Here With Me."
Thanks in advance.

It's the first song "Wonderwall Ac."
I had to redo the vocals but for some reason the whole things seems way too boomy for me. Not sure if somethings off with my settings or not.
Let me know what you guys thing and TIA.

Recorded this contemporary Christian song a while back. Can't get rid of the hiss. Will have to retrack the opening and ending guitar and certain parts of the vocals when I can.
Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Don't know how to play harmonica so I improvised. Also, you can tell that I was congested when I did the vocals but oh well.
Its the first one called "Weekend."
Feedback appreciated.

Not my genre but I tried anyway. Please critique.
I'll start by saying that I am not a lead guitar player so that part needs to be replaced. Second, some parts of the vocals need to be re-tracked.
Let me know what you guys think.

Another very simple format - acoustic guitar and vocals.
Feedback appreciated.
Song for you, far away by James Taylor

Lifehouse's "You and Me."
Just acoustic guitar and vocals. Thinking about doing coffeehouses so I didn't fix the mistakes to hear how people would hear me.
I think the song carried me to audiostreet's #1 artist in this easy listening genre.
Feedback appreciated...

It's the one called Promises.
Vocals need retracking especially background. Bass playing is crappy and still too boomy in certain areas. Rhythm guitar strumming sometimes weird.
Better yet scrap the whole thing and take up knitting.
Under easy listening.
I thought I'd share it around here before I get moved down. I may only be up there for a couple of seconds. :)

"Good Times" is sung by a friend. Gorgeous vocals. Single take on the guitar which explains the tempo problem and solo. I'll try to fix them later if I can.
Thanks.

It's the song at the bottom called "No Sunshine."
I did everything even though I'm not a bass guitar or lead guitar player. I had fun experimenting though.

PS.
How does one get rep power?
They are the naiant MSH-1A on the acoustic guitar. Very affordable.
Mics (xy) around soundhole of Taylor 03 714ce summer strummer to FMR RNP and RNC to AKAI DPS 16. Added a touch of reverb and delay in the mix.
Let me know what you guys think. It's the one called "Is it OK?"...
First song called, "It Ain't Over."
Man, don't know bout this one. Difficult vocals. May need to just totally scrap it and forget about it.
Let me know what you guys think.
