Robbie Nuke. Bass player for an AC/DC cover band Riff-Raff in Baltimore. More interested in live sound because I gig a lot, seldom record (except for demos). I don't like DI boxes (I have a few) for live gigs anymore, so I use a Shure 546 (similar to SM56).

Anybody ever compare these two mics? Similar to SM57 and 545 except for the isolation shock mounting, so reviews comparing these mics is just as valid. The only difference seems to be the part that holds the cartridge... SM56/57 has a metal barrel, the 546/545 has the black plastic. I use a 546...
