    Karaoke for baritones

Hey guys, I'm a baritone (a light one, probably a lyric baritone) and most of the singers I listen to are tenors. I try to sing their songs and although I hit the notes, they don't sound that good. Some of my friends are having a karaoke in a couple of days and I've just realized that there...

    Vocal range

I didn't actually understand the reason why some parts should be written an octave above the standard, but the pdf you've linked is a great example of a tenor part. According to what I've read, the first three notes ("My mind is) are A4s (since wikipedia says the C in that octave is the C4)...

    Vocal range

I know what the tenor high note is, I know where to locate it on a piano and I can easily recognize it when I hear it. But if the that not is numbered as c5, then the middle c (THIS NOTE: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/03/Middle_C.png) is then c3! not c4. That makes sense...

    Vocal range

I do have previous training (and quite a lot actually), I've just always received information from my vocal coach. And now that I want to share my vocal range with people, I want to make sure they'd understand. And also, I am a baritone, all I said was that according to wikipedia I (apparently)...

    Vocal range

G3-G4 is only one octave. My range is what i have written and I can actually sing up to Ab5, but these notes are just not that good yet. Anyways, tenors DO sing the tenor high note. And I don't think it matters what clef you use, their purpose is to tell which octave we're on.

    Vocal range

Hello, I have a few questions regarding my vocal range and the scientific pitch notation. I have read Scientific pitch notation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and it just doesn't make sense. I am a Baritone (or at least I've been taught that I am). To explain my vocal range I will refer to...

    Some help with VSTs

Ok guys, I've been trying real hard to make a bass guitar sound good but I keep failing! I took FL slayer + the free version of Guitar Rig 5.. Here's the best I've got for now: I just played the middle octave and the two below it...

    A decent micriphone (for vocals)

First of all thank you for such detailed comment. And I'm sorry I'm posting so late, I have internet connection problems.. Anyways, I tried looking the marshall MXL V69g up on ebay and found nothing. I did however founf the sE X1 (which goes above 200$ without shipping) and the Gauge ECM-87...

    A decent micriphone (for vocals)

I am aware of it, I've seen many threads and debates about it. Most of them are at least a year old. I need to know whether there's something new and whether I should get myself a dynamic or a condenser mic to record at home. I feel like I'd be losing a lot if I bought a dynamic one... but then...

    A decent micriphone (for vocals)

Hello guys. I know I've already opened a topic like that about a year ago, but I ended up focusing on school and just practicing singing in general (not recording anything). Now that I'm done with school, I've got some time to think again. Not sure if anyone remembers, but I was wondering...

    Some help with VSTs

Well, I got SampleTank working and downloaded a few more free versions of things... SampleTank's piano is good in the mid range, but the low and high notes sound electronic.. And the closest thing to electric guitars that I've got by now is FL Slayer and Revitar 2 with AmpliTube 3... Sounds ok I...

    Some help with VSTs

I installed Sampletank FREE, but there are no instruments in it.. (Can't locate that "root folder" or something). Also, I've downloaded Guitar Rig 5 free, is it any good? Or I should just find a fully free one? And I wasn't asking only for guitars, but for any good plugin you can recommend...

    Some help with VSTs

It does, and thank you for taking your time to answer. The only problem is that I am on a REALLY low budget, and do not have any real instruments. And even if I had, I can only use the keyboard for now. So what you're sayin is that I should record with a keyboard even if I'm using a plugin...

    Some help with VSTs

Does it mean that w/e I do on a computer only will sound like pop/electric music? Is there some sort of a guide to help me get close to good sound somehow? Yes, I do "humanize" the notes too. and I can play the parts myself, but most of the time I choose not to. (Don't even know why lol). Any...

    Some help with VSTs

Hello guys. I am a singer (working on it) and I need some help. I have a keyboard connected to an AUDIOBOX USB (my external sound card) and I can use different VSTs thru FL studios with it. I have created a few beats/melodies for my songs, but they usually sound like something's missing. What...
