For my next project I'm thinking about hiring a pedal steel player to record a track for me. I've never recorded a steel guitar before. Do I run a steel direct or mic up his amp and treat it like any other electric guitar? Anything else I should know about a pedal steel guitar before I commit?

I used the new Roland R-5 unit for the drums. The Roland sounds much better than the crappy Casio drums. Please let me know what you think of the mix. Thanks.
