What would be a better match for an EON 500w subwoofer; an EON510, 280 watt with a 10 inch speaker and a crossover of 1.6kHz
or a Eon 515, 450 watts with a 15 inch speaker and a crossover of 2.2kHz? I appreciate the expertise!
Currently it's just for an acoustic duo but I'd like to leave room...
I've been fortunate enough to be able to add a sub to my PA system which I use to practice doing solo acoustic guitar gigs. My system sounds awesome but when I go do gigs on other PA's without subs, I'm now having a problem with frequency response in my vocals and guitar. There are gaps in the...
Anyone tried Spectral Layers Pro? I watched a seminar on it and it the dude was able to remove background engine hum, breaking, water running and numerous other sounds already in the mix. Pretty awesome what you can do with it.
I play for a community dinner every week (large hall) and lots of time the background noise gets pretty loud, kids running around and conversations etc... I try to keep the volume just loud enough to mix in with the natural volume of my acoustic guitar and my big mouth, (I barely need a mic). I...
I just got my first sm7 and the preamps on the tascam neo I use don't seem strong enough. I have a few hundred bucks to invest in a pre, used preferably. Anyone real happy with a particular match with the sm7?
thanks as always...
I know it depends on the individual mixes but are there starting points and ranges for volume, eq and compression for audio/video that will ultimately end up streamed to cell phones?
Does anyone care to share how they comp their vocals? I'm interested in tracking and mixing habits, preferably good ones e.g. always 2-3 takes or retakes for just troubled areas, tools you use etc. Please share experiences I could learn from...
No lie, one of our own engineer members, Ronan Chris Murphy, just keeps getting better. Check out his latest and his others on audio production:

I know it's not optimal but I'm starting to see it as pretty common. The volume knobs are just attenuators anyhow so it kinda makes sense to get your power from the amps built for power.
How many of you guys run them maxed out or do you get some of your gain from the boards?
I'll be mixing and recording live on one of these this week. Are there any quirks or special features that I should be aware of? I'll be using about 16 ins. Please share.
