I need some advice
my band plays metal/core (killswitch engage,god forbid ) and tune to Drop B (BF#BEG#c#)
anyways...my other guitarists turns to me and says he is sick of B minor riffing.
im aware that B minor pentatonic is B D E F# A
but with this genre of music im stumped as to write in...
so ive finally finished tracking everything for my drummers younger brothers bands...
this recording is pre-mixed ...as i need a break before i start mixing/pollishing this turd with VST's...
so im after ideas and critisms...

and the whole amp has 2 MASTER VOLUMES
i was just wondering which volumes control the POWER AMP volume.
ie if i set the MASTER VOLUMES on near full(master 2 a little higher than 1 for a boost) does that...

my TSL has gain on 4 and volume on half for live gigs so what would be some good settings on the maxon?

so this is my first recording posted on this forum since ive gotten all my gear.
ive only been recording on computer for about 1 month (but ive used a zoom mrs 1044 multitrack in the past)
drums were recorded at a mates studio on a tascam 1804 with cubase sx3 and 11 various mics...
and guitars...
so i recieved a free AKG Dynamic mic (D 3300 S)
it is the only mic i currently own (until i purchase a sm57 this week)
is this a shit mic??? as im assuming it is as it was free with my firebox
i miced up my cab however im was not able to crank the amp volume ...so it naturally sounds like ass...
hey all just wondering what everyones uses and their views./experiences on pick thickness in relation to string gauge and overall tone (for live and recording)
ive had reason 3.0 for 2 weeks...and it was working perfectly fine and also worked rewire with cubase sx2
then today i tried to open it up(on its own) and it wont load...screen starts up then dissapears
and with rewire on cubase it says "unknown exception"
wtf???
just got a presonus firebox and installed the LE software sucessfully.
after for a couple of startups and shutdowns... it wont load because it detects an error
error im getting is that cubasele.exe has encounted and error and asks me to send error report over internet.
this only happens after...
my firebox finally arrived today and after some dilemma of installing it im ready to go (or so at least i think)

- when installing the firebox cd windows xp says i did not pass the WINDOWS LOGO testing to verify its compability in xp...i clicked "continue anyway" as the manual says...
